Work package leader EU project ANM4L

ANM4L has investigated and demonstrated solutions to increase the utilization rate of existing grid assets while maintaining security of supply. The ANM4L project has studied how to prevent overload and overvoltage situations in distribution networks, which arise from increased levels of distributed RES.

During the period 2020 through 2022, the ANM4L project was run under the leadership of RISE by E.ON Energidistribution AB, E.ON Group Innovation GmbH, E.ON Hungary, the Faculty of Engineering at Lund University, RWTH Aachen University, Lumenaza GmbH and Borgholm municipality. The project's goal was to investigate how Active Network Management solutions can contribute to the energy transition and whether/how this enables the integration of large amounts of renewable energy sources into distribution networks with the flexibility required. To meet international climate goals, alternative solutions for network development must be considered.

Novion has acted in the role of work package leader (WP Lead) and managed the project on behalf of E.ON Energy Distribution, which represented the demonstration partner in Sweden. The work has been on an international level. The results have been varied in ongoing deliveries in the form of analyses, studies, reports, publications as well as delivery of the progress of the project and the demonstration.
