Positioning around incentives for flexibility solutions in electricity network regulation

E.ON Energidistribution has for several years conducted projects and business development within flexibility solutions and has thus been a leader in the industry in this area. However, a significant challenge, both for E.ON and the industry as a whole, is that there is a lack of financial incentives in the electricity grid regulation to use flexibility solutions.

Together with the internal regulation team, Novion carried out a project in which it identified and anchored an internal position on how flexibility services should be incentivized within the framework of the revenue framework regulation. This was subsequently presented in several external national and international forums as well as directly to the regulator.
